What is astrology about? Astrology is a system that has been built up through centuries. It examines cosmic events, universe processes and planetary movements related to a man's life and the entire human society. The elementary principle astrology is based on is the unity of events in both macro-cosmos and micro-cosmos. Astrology is the ancestor of astronomy and many other natural sciences but since it focuses more on symbolism than on physical laws, the 'true hard-line science' generally refers to it as to pseudoscience. Astrology comes out of the pieces of knowledge collected by occult sciences, alchemy, and it is very close to modern psychology. Do you believe in astrology? Sure you do, in a way! Everybody is interested in astrology. Some people rely upon it completely since they have seen for themselves that there is a real meaning in astrological predictions. Most people hesitate and would like to believe but - somehow they just cannot cope with it; it is so much different from what our logic-oriented line of thought claims! And finally, some people laugh at astrology, ridicule it, denounce it - and yet, what if?! Is astrology logical? In our society, logic has been elevated to the only conceivable way of recognizing the world. It was not the same in the past, and let's hope it won't be in the future. This status quo corresponds to the fact the world today is run primarily by men. And most men (my excuses to all exceptions!) have only access to logic, rationality, and reasoning. They need facts, mathematical formulas, and tangible evidence. Every attempt of explaining the principles of world functioning via intuition, sensibility, feelings, faith, or inspiration only leads to a charitable smile, and a cheap remark about "woman's logic". And yet, the law of gravity was true long before Newton sat down under the tree, got hit by an apple, and - how irrational! - was inspired! The fact I am tone-death does not mean music does not exist. And how would you explain the azure sky to a color-blind person? Science or charlatanism? Astrology is a combination of science and art. Based on perfectly logical, precisely rational facts gained empirically using statistical methods, it can interpret the reality using intuition, symbolic thinking, insight, and connecting to both individual and collective subconscious levels. It works rather with principles than with substance. However, it works both with your body and your soul since these two cannot be separated. How does astrology work? Based on your date of birth (day, time, and place) you can have created a native horoscope. The native horoscope specifies the planetary positions to the exact location on Earth at the moment of your very first breath. The specific constellation has influence over you during the entire course of your life but it only defines the options and possibilities for living. However, to find the actual reason for being is completely up to you. The combination of planetary energie forms a very specific energetic matrix that demonstrates its qualities in your experience, your thinking, feelings, emotions, acting, communication, and relations to others. Comparing the native horoscope with a horoscope of another person, you can create a partnership horoscope. As the stars keep running on their orbits they form so called transit horoscope that can tell you what themes are here for you to solve right now, and how you can get through. What can astrology offer you? Astrology has a lot to offer. You have learnt quite a lot about yourself during the lifetime, and yet you sometime come to wonder: Why do I always worry about something I have been through so many times? Why do I repeatedly get to the same problem? Why do I meet the same type of people all the time? Why do I live my life the way I do, and is it really what makes sense to me? ... so many questions, and that's only you so far. Astrology can also give you a hint about your children's course of life, what are their talents, and their weaknesses - and what is the best approach to their bringing up and education. You can learn more about your partner, compare your inclinations, requirements, and expectations, and this way get better understanding of possible repeating conflicts and also areas of mutual support.
